In my various roles, I have worked on email marketing in a lot of ways.  Mostly as a graphic designer, designing email hero graphics.

Case Study

The Challenge

  • Create graphics that look great across devices and email clients

  • Maintain brand consistency while supporting different campaign goals

  • Keep file sizes light to protect deliverability and load times

  • Design with clear hierarchy to guide readers toward the primary CTA

My Role

  • Concepting visual direction for email campaigns

  • Designing header graphics, product feature blocks, and promo banners

  • Aligning visuals with copy, offers, and audience segments

  • Preparing assets for upload into email builders

Process

1. Aligning With Strategy
I collaborated with marketing teams to understand campaign objectives: sale events, new arrivals, restocks, bundles, or retention flows.

2. Designing Modular Elements
I built reusable graphic modules—hero headers, product features, dividers, and CTAs—that could be mixed and matched across campaigns.

3. Mobile-First Testing
I ensured text remained legible at smaller sizes and verified that key information stayed visible even when images were blocked or constrained.

Final Deliverables

  • Email hero graphics

  • Product feature and promo blocks

  • Campaign-specific banners (holiday, launch, restock, etc.)

  • A mini design system for consistent email visuals

Impact

These email assets supported higher-performing campaigns by:

  • Improving visual consistency across sends

  • Making key offers more scannable

  • Reducing build time for future emails via reusable elements
